Royal Palm Meat & Dine High Tea

At Royal Palm Meat & Dine, the high tea buffet is available during two sessions: the first session runs from 12 pm to 2 pm, and the second session follows from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. We loved how the buffet caters to diverse palates. Seafood lovers will find fresh seafood on ice, featuring a selection ranging from boiled prawns to oven-baked oysters with cheese sauce. Western options are equally tempting, including Wagyu beef burgers, turkey ham and cheese sandwiches, and Asian beef bites.

And that’s not all–There are cold appetizers like sushi and cheese platters, as well as olives to keep things fresh. And for dessert? Get ready for a sweet feast with carrot cake, mousse cups, red velvet cake, Onde Onde cake, assorted macarons, croissants, and pastries. Additionally, guests can enjoy a variety of beverages to complement their meal.

Selection of Drinks: You can choose from coffee, tea, and a selection of juices including cranberry, orange, mango, and pink guava.

Keep this in mind! The menu might change depending on what’s in season and available. And if you’re a vegetarian, this might not be the best option for you, as the focus here is mostly on meats and seafood.

With different dishes on rotation, each visit promises a fresh experience. It’s the perfect way to spend a relaxed afternoon. It is available every Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Selection of Drinks: An assortment of coffee and tea options. However, our specialty lies in our delectable desserts and ice creams.

Keep this in mind! The focus of this high tea buffet is on food rather than drinks.

L’Espresso

L’Espresso High Tea Buffet
  • Location: 22 Scotts Road, Orchard, Goodwood Park Hotel

L’Espresso gives a delightful English high tea buffet experience that’s worth the price. From Monday to Thursday, you can enjoy it from 2 pm to 5:30 pm. On Fridays, weekends, and public holidays, the buffet is available in two time slots: from 12 pm to 2:30 pm and then from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.

This isn’t your ordinary high tea affair; it’s a gourmet experience. Enjoy a lavish selection of both savory and sweet treats from across Europe. Plus, there are some hot dishes from different European countries like England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. There are a lot of choices from delicate finger sandwiches to hearty classics like Chicken Shepherd’s Pie.

We loved the scone bar the most as you can customize them with an array of toppings, just the way you like it. And to wash it all down, you get to pick any drink from their menu.

Selection of Drinks: A variety of black tea, floral tea, green tea, white tea, red tea, herbal infusion tea, coffees, and iced favorites.

Lao Beijing

  • Location: 10 Sinaran Dr, Square 2
  • Contact: +65 6358 4466
  • Price Range: $21.80++

As the name suggests, at Lao Beijing, you get a Beijing-style Chinese high tea buffet. But it’s the most affordable one on the list! The high tea is available only on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm (last order at 4:30 pm). While the selection isn’t massive, you’ll still get a good taste of their top dishes. Unfortunately, they don’t offer Peking duck, but you’ll find highlights like Ngoh Hiang, popiah, La Ji Zi, siew mai, char siew bao, and zha jiang mian.

The vegetables are fresh and not too greasy. However, some dishes like prawn-paste chicken, fried bee hoon, fried rice, and drunken chicken were a bit below average. But the mango sago dessert is excellent and has a perfect amount of flavor.  The restaurant’s interior is cozy and traditional, with warm lighting, traditional paintings, and private rooms available. It might be a bit tricky to find, but that also means it’s quieter, which we appreciate. The service is good, and considering the price, it’s a reasonable meal.

Selection of Drinks: Only traditional Chinese tea types.

Keep this in mind! It’s only on weekends and you’ll need a minimum of two people. Also, the buffet is limited to 90 minutes.

Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant

Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant high tea buffet
  • Location: Level 2 Furama City Centre

Another high tea buffet that’s only on weekends is at the Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant. It’s on public holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 3 pm to 5 pm. We found it perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The whole high tea experience is fun and fulfilling! You can make your sandwiches at DIY Sandwich Bar or create a healthy salad at our “Build Your Salad” station. The Show Kitchen cooks up tasty dishes like Tiffany’s Laksa, Chicken Satay, and Roasted Leg of Lamb.

They also have local favorites like Wok Fried Shrimp and Chicken Char Siew Pau. And don’t forget desserts like Tiffany Durian Pengat and DIY Waffles. It’s a mix of traditional and new flavors, great for enjoying with family and friends. We enjoyed the sambal prawn and lamb dishes, along with their lemonade cucumber drink. They have a wide range of dishes, both local and international, so there’s something for everyone. (Except seafood)

Selection of Drinks: Coffees, Teas, and House Special (Cold Beverages).

Keep this in mind! Weekend High Tea Buffet is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. During the summer months, you may notice a few flies.

On the savory side, they have Malaysian dishes like Miniature Nasi Lemak Euphoria, and Vine-ripe Cherry Tomato stuffed with tangy Mango Salsa.

But the experience is about the presentation, that’s somewhat nostalgic. The high is given in a three-tier tiffin – ‘Tingkat’ and ‘Congkak’. (Old Singaporean people will remember this!
