We only got a portion of seafood per person—think three slices of sashimi, two oysters, and three prawns. Also, the place can get packed, especially during peak hours.

But, let’s give credit where it’s due—the service was quick, and the staff was friendly. And onto the good part! The buffet spread itself was pretty impressive. One of the highlights of their breakfast buffet is the addition of surprising local delicacies like Laksa and Nasi Lemak. We saw many people enjoying the flavorful Chilli Crab omelet and well-prepared smoked salmon. At Crossroads Cafe, it’s refreshing to see their commitment to using fresh vegetables, meats, and seafood in their dishes. Although the food did not impress us that much, the staff at Crossroads Cafe are nice and professional.

Who’s it For? Perfect for those seeking a pan-Asian dining experience, Crossroads Cafe is a must-visit for anyone staying at the Marriott.

Keep this in mind! Reservations can be hard to come by, and given the prestigious Marriot name, the quality and food variety did not meet our expectations.

We’re talking Indian, Western (without bacon), and Southeast Asian dishes. Their highlight is the special bread and butter pudding with custard.

They have a bread section but it could be better if it was served at the right temperature. The buffet might not be the biggest, but it’s worth it. With classic breakfast options like eggs, hash browns, cereal, and nasi lemak, along with refreshing fruit juices, coffee, and tea, there’s something for everyone. The nasi lemak, in particular, stood out for its flavorful chili.

Overall, the friendly staff ensures a great dining experience for everyone. And they even have wheelchair accessibility.

  • Contact: +65 6818 1913
  • Price Range: $59++
  • Breakfast Timing: 6.30 am to 10 pm (11 pm on weekends)

For variety, we recommend Beach Road Kitchen. This breakfast buffet has more than a hundred items in the spread. From a cereal bar to a make-your-own noodle station, from Indian delights to freshly baked pastries, this buffet has a lot! The vibe is inviting so it’s perfect to start your day with.

Highlights include live cooking stations where you can customize your congee and noodles, as well as an egg station featuring fillings like chili crab. For those with a preference for cheese and cold cuts, you won’t be disappointed with the extensive selection available. And if you have a sweet tooth, you get to try a variety of French and English pastries, alongside local favorites like Nonya Kueh and Zi Char dishes.

The only area for improvement would be to offer more options for vegans and those with gluten sensitivities. While it wasn’t a concern for us, it could be for some people.

Who’s it For? This buffet is great if you love busy places, but not so great if you prefer a quiet breakfast. The best section is the bread section which has French toast with maple syrup (it tastes heavenly).

Another breakfast buffet spot with amazing staff is The FernTree Café. Breakfast is served buffet-style with a variety of options available until 10 am. It’s underrated and has both Asian plus Western dishes. There are Laksa noodles and various other fusion creations.

Another hidden gem that impressed us is the Town Restaurant. From quantity to quality, they just ticked off all the boxes. As it’s near the Singapore River, you get to enjoy the view as well. The options for food are endless like Western, Asian, Fresh fruits, waffles, and even an egg station where you can customize your omelet or scrambled eggs.

It’s not just about the quantity of food; it’s about the quality too. We loved the crusty bread with honey and Nutella, and pastries like croissants and muffins. You can make your salad at a salad bar with all the fixings for a light meal. For gym rats, they even serve chicken breast for all you protein fans out there.

They’ve got a great selection of cheese, along with savory options like cold cuts and dim sum. And for those who crave local flavors, there’s chicken rice and nasi lemak.

For the Best breakfast buffet with a waterfall view in Singapore, we recommend The Dining Room. Just the view alone was enough to convince us to try this out but let’s talk about food. The variety is limited but it’s suitable as breakfast. Firstly, there’s a cooking station where they cook omelets right in front of you, just the way you like them. Then, you’ve got a bunch of pastries, Asian dishes, and a big pile of fresh fruits. There is also Laksa for people with big appetites.

  • Price Range: Included in Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Room Package
  • Breakfast Timing: 6:30 am to 11 am

If you’re into Indian food, they’ve got a bunch of Indian breakfast options. We loved how the Indian section is especially inviting and interactive. Parents will appreciate the wide variety of food for kids. Plus, kids eat for free!

The buffet also has options for different dietary preferences. There are options for vegetarians, including sushi, meat, ice cream, curry, pancakes, and waffles.

If you’re concerned about Halal food like we were, just talk to the chef. They’ll explain everything. The Indian kitchen is separate, so anything from there is safe for Halal eaters.
